Fall 2026 Cohort

Monday September 28-Friday October 2, 2026

The Village Dance Academy 1868 Spall Road, Kelowna BC

Cost: $425

"I felt especially supported because she consistently recognized and affirmed my technical skills while offering practical exercises that helped me continue to grow.

Dancing with the other men was a refreshing opportunity to explore a more rambunctious physical energy while always feeling the group’s mutual care and supportive intent. Jen creates an environment where challenge, playfulness, and genuine encouragement come together."

Michael Dagenais he/him
Contact Dancer

"Jennifer McLeish-Lewis works with dancers holistically, honing their full skill set to create interdisciplinary pieces, and fostering autonomy within set and improvised scores. Through encouragement, curiosity, and collaboration, she helps artists feel confident in their ideas and abilities, and creates wonderful opportunities for people to come together to train, research, and perform."

Samantha Krystal, Modus Operandi Alumni

“Jen has a gift for weaving together the unique essence of everyone’s practice. She creates a space where every offering is welcomed and every idea is gently nurtured into being. She creates an environment that reflects a collective spirit of everyone who has touched it along the way.”

"Jen has an incredible talent for offering cues and feedback which unlock different ways of thinking and moving. Her approach to teaching is technically rigorous, yet intuitive. She is warm and approachable while staying uncompromising in her vision. It has been wonderful to work with her and my dancing has been transformed!"

Samuel Miao he/him
Contact Dancer

"During a short but sweet creative process with Jen, I felt her encouragement to explore my own movement and expression. She is a strong leader who clearly articulates her vision and cares for everyone in the room. Jen has a strong backbone, while remaining open to what arises in the present moment - a unique combination that also appears in the way she moves."

Kaya Tsurumi

Arts Umbrella Alumni
Modus Operandi Alumni

"Working with Jen is a freeing and grounding process. It has been wonderful to experience her ways of creation when I worked with her as an intern in her production "LiKEWiSE." I applied my inspirations from her creative process in my own choreographic work, and have created a piece that is very dear to my heart. I believe Jen is a wonderful, strong, and talented artist and teacher, I strongly recommend working with her!"
